Some of you are aware that for the last several years Celtic Force has helped to produce the New River Blues Festival that takes place in the North Carolina mountains on Labor Day weekend.
This past year that festival moved to a new, larger venue right on the banks of the New River at River House Inn in Grassy Creek, NC.
Based on the success of that weekend River House has asked us to produce a new Celtic music event in June and everyone is invited.
On Saturday June 11 the gates open at noon and the music goes from 1 until 6pm on the big lawn right beside the second oldest river in the world.
Our tentative line up includes some great regional performers that we will be announcing in the next few days. River House will be selling your favorite beverages and a few other edible goodies and Burnt Out Buddies will be cooking up their brand of NC barbecue.
A chair or blanket is all you will need to bring to have a wonderful afternoon of music in the mountains. Tickets will be $12 in advance and go on sale on line in April on the Celtic Force web site. It will be $15 at the gate, 12 & under are free. Parking is $2 per vehicle. It’s easy to find just off of Hwy 16 north of Jefferson, NC. Please, no pets or coolers.
